National Road Safety Strategy data

The National Road Safety Strategy (NRSS) sets out Australia's road safety objectives, key priorities for action and road trauma reduction targets for the decade. The Strategy is endorsed by all of Australia's nine federal, state and territory governments and the Australian Local Government Association.

This dashboard shows key outcome measures for the performance of the last National Road Safety Strategy (NRSS) 2011‑20 by safe systems approaches.

The dashboard shows data relating to deaths on Australian roads between 2008 and 2020.

Use the dashboard to explore measures under four themes safe roads, safe road use, risky road use and safe vehicles. Data can be filtered for state, territory or national indicators.
